Find the gap before life does.

Start with questions about your income, responsibilities and what you already have in place. The assessment helps organize questions; it is not a needs analysis, quote or recommendation.

Your situation comes first

Your circumstances and existing arrangements come first. Recommendations follow a completed needs analysis.

A conversation, not a commitment

Ask questions and understand the process before deciding whether to take the next step.

Education for life in Canada

Our educational materials explain Canadian protection topics. Personal advice is limited to our Ontario life insurance licences.

Clear reasons, in writing

We explain the basis, terms and limitations of recommendations following the needs analysis.

Room for life to change

A change in circumstances can make existing arrangements worth reviewing.
Who we serve

Start with the life you’re living.

Families, homeowners, business owners and people working for themselves face different questions. Choose a starting point that fits your situation.
How it works

Understand first. Decide after.

Start with education. Bring your questions. Take the next step when you’re ready.

01

Start with the assessment
Answer questions about your situation and existing protection. Your summary organizes information to check; it is not a quote, needs analysis or recommendation.

02

Introduce the process
Meet Brenda or Hilda in a 30-minute intro call. We introduce ourselves, explain our process, disclose compensation and insurer relationships, and discuss basic financial concepts. If time allows and you want to continue, we can begin or complete fact-finding then. Otherwise, we book a needs-analysis meeting. After reviewing the information, we present any recommendations or quotes at a follow-up.

03

Review findings and decide
Once fact-finding is complete, we review your information and present our findings and any recommendations or quotes at a follow-up meeting. You decide whether to proceed.

Canadian adult comparing two investment statements at home, illustrating segregated funds vs mutual funds in Canada

Segregated funds and mutual funds: what the insurance guarantee costs

Both can hold investments that rise and fall. A fair comparison follows the underlying assets, the insurance guarantees, the fees and the date you may need to withdraw.

Mortgage life insurance: who gets paid, and what happens when you move?

Compare the beneficiary, benefit amount, underwriting and portability before treating mortgage creditor coverage and an individual life policy as interchangeable.

TFSA, RRSP or FHSA? Follow the money in and out

The tax treatment of a contribution is only half the comparison. Withdrawals, replacement room and the date you need the money can change the decision.

A segregated fund guarantee has a date, a percentage and a calculation

A 75% or 100% guarantee applies under specific conditions. Withdrawals, resets and the annuitant’s death can each change how much is payable and when.
